First Full Week of 2025: No More Excuses
It’s here: the first full week of a brand-new year. Resolutions often come and go, but this year, I’m committing to something deeper. I’m resolving to let go of excuses, to stop waiting for “Round 2Its,” and to step boldly into what God wants me to do—each and every day.
There’s a verse that comes to mind as I think about this: “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12). Every day is a gift, and God calls us to use each one with purpose. No more procrastination. No more fear holding me back. Just a heart tuned to His voice and hands ready to do His work.
It’s easy to get caught up in waiting for the “perfect moment” to start—whether it’s calling a friend, forgiving a grudge, or taking that leap of faith. But the truth is, the perfect moment is now.
So here’s my resolution:
- Listen—to what God is calling me to do, big or small.
- Act—no excuses, no delay, just obedience.
- Trust—that even when the path feels uncertain, God is in control.
I invite you to join me in this resolution. Let’s not just set goals; let’s live with intention, following the promptings of the Spirit every day. Together, we can make 2025 the year of “no more excuses.” Let’s step out in faith and do what God has set before us—today.
