:

When Jesus first called His disciples, He said, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They dropped their nets, but they didn’t fully understand what He meant. They followed, but they didn’t get it.

He told a rich man, “Sell all you have and give to the poor, and come, follow me.” The man walked away, saddened. The disciples were shocked and confused. “Who then can be saved?” they asked. And honestly, we still don’t get it.

Today, megachurch pastors ask us to “connect” in small groups or serve on ministry teams. We sign up or maybe we don’t, but the truth is, we often still don’t get it.

Jesus performed miracles—calming storms, feeding thousands, healing the sick, raising the dead—and even His closest friends didn’t get it. When He sent them out to perform miracles themselves, they came back amazed, but they still didn’t understand.

He hung out with sinners—tax collectors, prostitutes, and the outcasts of society. He didn’t condemn them. Instead, He shared meals, told stories, and showed them a love they had never known. The religious lawyers, the so-called experts in the law, were scandalized. They didn’t get it.

Then came the cross. He died a brutal death, seemingly abandoned by God and everyone else. His disciples scattered in fear. The religious leaders thought they had won. But no one got it.

Even today, we often misunderstand the cross. It’s not about complicated theological ideas like substitutionary atonement or sacrificial blood rituals. It’s about seeing what God looks like when He’s human, hurting, and abandoned. On the cross, God showed us His heart—a love that suffers with us, a love that doesn’t fight back, a love that lays itself down so that others can rise.

And then He rose.

When the women found the tomb empty, they didn’t get it at first either. But then, He appeared—to Mary, to the disciples, to the doubters, to the brokenhearted. And slowly, the pieces came together.

Do we get it?

Jesus wasn’t just inviting people to follow Him for a season. He was calling them—and us—to an entirely new way of life. A life that gives, loves, serves, and transforms the world.

In 2025, we’re inviting you to go All-In.

All-in with Jesus. All-in with the mission. All-in with the kind of love that breaks through fear, apathy, and misunderstanding.

Because when we truly go All-In, we Come Alive and Thrive.

This is your invitation. Follow Him. Go All-In in 2025.

Let’s Come Alive and Thrive together.
