Politics fades into the background when death rises its ugly head and becomes front and center. At least five died in the Chatsworth area in a deadly bus accident and then in the crash of the Channel 4 news helicopter. Two died in the helicopter and a pedestrian on the ground was killed. Mayor Bass was present at the briefing held this evening. Some were born and some died. The journey began for some and ended for others. May the God of comfort draw near all of those who are mourning their losses tonight.
