Jesus Revolution Completed: Honoring Marvin and Karen Schuler

My heart is heavier tonight as I remember the last pastor of the Moreno Valley Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Marvin Schuler who followed his wife Karen in death just six weeks after passing. I spoke with Karen’s daughter Tiffany and she told me of the efforts made to keep Marv alive when a severe infection was found in his body. His “Jesus Revolution” is over as those of us left behind mourn the death of these two followers of Jesus.

[Verse 1] Old rugged cross on a hill just one block away, Weathered wood and faded paint still shining like day. People walking by can feel the Spirit move and say, “Tent revival coming soon, follow Jesus today, get free.” [Guitar Solo] [Chorus] Tent revival coming soon, hear that gospel sound, Voices rising up to heaven on this holy ground. Come and lay your burdens down, let your shackles fall away, Tent revival coming soon, follow Jesus today, get free. [Verse 2] Choir warming up their songs as the sun goes down, Folding chairs in dusty rows on the edge of town. Neighbors stepping out their doors when they hear that plea, “Tent revival coming soon, follow Jesus today, get free.” [Drum Solo] [Chorus] Tent revival coming soon, hear that gospel sound, Voices rising up to heaven on this holy ground. Come and lay your burdens down, let your shackles fall away, Tent revival coming soon, follow Jesus today, get free. [Bridge] Chains are breaking, hearts are waking, mercy flowing like a stream, Hands are lifted, souls are gifted with a brand-new dream. Under canvas, under starlight, grace is calling you and me, “Tent revival coming soon, follow Jesus today, get free.” [Guitar Solo] [Chorus] Tent revival coming soon, hear that gospel sound, Voices rising up to heaven on this holy ground. Come and lay your burdens down, let your shackles fall away, Tent revival coming soon, follow Jesus today, get free. [Outro] Old rugged cross on a hill just one block away, Guiding every step we take as we sing and pray. When that trumpet starts to ring, every soul will see, Tent revival in our hearts, follow Jesus today, get free.
