Old Man Charlie has a new idea.That should probably scare somebody. But here it is anyway: MANGO — Make Needles Great Again.
Needles sits on old Route 66, where people have been passing through for a long, long time. Maybe it’s time to give a few more people a reason to stop, stay awhile, open something, fix something, help somebody, and call this place home.
Green Zone America starts with a pretty simple idea: Nobody is disposable. Neither are towns. So maybe we clean up a corner. Help a neighbor. Fill an empty building. Support a local business. Find somebody a safe place to sleep. Plant a little hope in the desert and see what grows.
Maybe even a mango. Probably not. It’s Needles. But you get the idea. MANGO — Make Needles Great Again. A Green Zone America project on Route 66. Grace. Grit. Community. And just enough crazy to try.
